Grading

For entry at age 18 the basic calculation of the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement for entry to US universities is determined by Grading Scales based on Senior Cycle of education.

Leaving Certificate grades are important to a US university sports programme and are used after admission to determine the minimum number of hours a student athlete must complete to graduate.
